Locking server time to server location time

Every time a server hits nighttime everyone leaves except for the 4-7 people with night vision or who actually use flashlights and flares.

I personally love nighttime but every server restarts when it gets around that time and boom, daytime again! Back when there were less than half of the amount of servers than there are now, when you would join a server in your country at 8PM it would actually be dark. Now every server you join at any time of day is always daytime. It's almost like the nighttime side of the game is not even there. Maybe some streetlights could be turned on so the newspawns aren't too intimidated by the night.

Night time is by far more exciting to play during but you hit the nail on the head when you said that it's dominated by NVG users.

Personally Id say make NVG much rarer, make them battery reliant and battery's for them rare as rocking horse shit to limit their use and make night time a bit more balanced for everyone.

Or Make nvg's more common. Then everyone can have night time fun!

hmm.. i usually can only play after midnight, and i need to hop a dozen servers until i find a daytime one. playing on night time servers? sorry but there is no point when i cant see shit. with gamma and brightness turned up to max, i can see a few shades aboe me in the clouds, but the landscape remains pitch black. i could as well turn off the monitor and try to play by sound only. thats really not enjoyable.

Hm i`m not sure if I like this idea, I like playing in the dawn but in the night when its pitchblack you either have to cheat with gamma or be shot.

Also I have to work a lot so Im only able to play when its getting dark here, so I only have the option to always play at night or accept a really bad ping.

server population isnt really an indicator, as weekdays at 3:00AM the nearby servers max at some 15 people - those can be night or daytime.. a possible solution is to go to servers on the other side of the planet, half of which kicks me for ping over 150, and the other half is riddled with russian and american hackers..

Some of us have jobs. While it's nice that you live in your parent's basement, the rest of us have bills to pay.

Doing this would be one of the only reasons I'd strongly consider stopping playing this mod. And I'm betting I'm not alone.
