Weird BattlEye Problem: Can't pick up stuff!!

Recommended Posts

Yiehaw,

after two weeks playin' without problems the odd shit is happening again. I can play for hours and hours, but when i pick up stuff (a single piece of soda, beans, crap, highend weapon ... regardless of which kind) BattlEye starts fooling around. I get kicked from the server, because the BE Client is not responding. How bizarre is this!?

I've tried all ways mentioned to fix this problem, and nothing worked so far. It's not even funny, when you are going to starve or to die of thirst, 'cause you can not grab a simple pepsi while lurking around. <_<

Any kind of help would be very much appreciated!

Did you try to start the game differently ? Like Beta.exe, Six Launcher, Arma II Launcher? If you use Steam and didnt did it yet let it check the Arma files might be there is something corrupted.

Yes, i started it with the Six Launcher, DayZCommander, Steam and so on. I've reinstalled BE (Arma 2/Arma OA) many times manually and via Steam (i replaced the files with the ones from the BE homepage). I even shut down my antivirus protection, looked out for packet loss or CPU problems - but there are no hints that the main issue is caused by any of these suggestions.

I don't get it. I can play, i can kill zombies, i can cross the whole map, climb up the highest mountains, but BE will kick me (more or less) immediately, when i put some trash in my bag.

On all servers or just a specific one? The reason I ask is that there is a known issue with the scripts.txt file employed on some game servers. I started getting the "Battleye: Client Not Responding" a little over a week ago on my home server and tried everything under the sun to resolve it, it turns out that it is something to do with Battleye and the scripts.txt on the server side that is causing it.

I'm waiting on a test BE client from Bastian Suter (Battleye creator) that should hopefully be delivered here in a few hours according to his last email. Not sure if the test BE client is simply going to log the data he needs to figure it out or if it is going to resolve the problem.

Hey,

I have the same problem. When I loot some stuff I get kicked by Battleye: Client not responding. Have tried many things, donwloading battleye .dlls manually, running on steam, six launcher, checking firewall and router. I am searching for a solution since a week ...

Now, I guess it's a problem with my internet connection. I have read, that Arma 2 is a client-based game, so your pc has to communicate a lot with the server (zombies, loot, etc.). This leads to a big upload --> when you loot something, battleye has to check your stuff --> upload is becoming bigger --> lag --> battleye kick you because of "no response"

My internet connection isn't really good (182 kbyte/s donwload, 21 kbyte upload) so could this be an explanation? What's your connection?

Sorry for my bad english

Hi,

finally I have a solution for my problem, so I hope it fixes yours too. I always join a server from the game and then battleye crashes.

After some measurements of my download/ upload/ everything while the game is running, I recognized that when you join a server from six launcher directly some more parameters are given to the game --> the direct IP of the server AND the port, which has to be opened.

Since I start directly from six launcher, battleye crashes only sometimes, when ping is high. However, I can loot a lot of stuff :)

Hope this simple thing will help you too.
