texture gliches

ok so been playing dayz for a while now and only recently ive noticed lots of texture glitches on servers around main looting points ie Stary Sobor and the airfield north of Vybor. and the people i play with all have the same problems on most servers.

so whats behind this? arma 2, dayz , the servers or people hacking the servers ?

I think it's up to arma 2 engine,not sure but yea I have them,most are in Cherno...half time can't see anything !

It is called artifacting and there are few topics around here, the next patch when it comes should fix it.

Before it, open the game (but do not join server) and go to video options, advanced and select video memory as "default" that is something that helped me & three of my friends (and a lot more regarding earlier posts). Also you can turn off postprocessing which has been reported to help in few cases. Then shut down the game and re-open and it should work.

It seems to have become more common since the latest patch.

Try this in game.

Hold left shift and double tap minus on the number pad, then type flush. If you do that correctly the screen will go black for a couple of seconds and say activating flush and then receiving. This is a memory flush and so far has got rid of the glitching for me 100% of the time.

On a side note this will also help if your game starts to run slower.

I get textures glitching a lot at the air fields for some reason. Thought it was my crossfire so I go turn it off and nope still the same, its worse this patch than last. What I get are like a point shape that moves around on the screen, its really bad. The other one I get is I can only see my feet sometimes, wacked out shit lol.

ye restarting the game used to work befor the patch to fix the texture gliches but at least it stops people going into main areas.

and makes them explore the land more.
