What's wrong with my chat?

Everytime I type a letter, a word is automatically put in.

For example, when I type "w" - the word "working" is automatically put into the box. And I can't backspace it because it won't let me.

Any idea?

I had this issue as well. Do you have the steam version? If so it's the same problem I had. It will happen when I open your steam overlay by pressing Shift+Tab, to resolve the issue either press ESC and then press Shift+Tab for a bit untill it stops scrolling through the menues on it's own or (will permanently fix this problem) reassgin a new key combination to open up the steam overlay. To to this follow these steps:

1) click on "steam" in your steam window

2) click on the "in-game" tab

3) reassign a new shortcut (for example: Shift+F1) in the input box under "press shortcut keys:"
