toolie 0 Posted August 2, 2012 (edited) Server was hacked. They didn't even bother teleporting us into a killing jar so you have a chance to disconnect. Just mass killed everyone, then apparently emptied the town (Elektro) I respawned into, setup a bunch of empty tents, tank traps and barbed wire everywhere and took pot shots at us with sniper rifles. Every night in the past week that I have played has resulted in at least one hacking event. The only way to conceivably avoid it is to just server hop every 10 minutes and hope to avoid the inevitable douchery. Tonight I lost my AS50, A4 SD, camo suit, GPS... all collected legitimately when I crept up on a sniper, then lost when someone selfishly decided to mass kill everyone. I respawned thinking, well I just have to play in a way where I don't get attached to anything, except the hackers own the game to such a degree that I couldn't even get anything to possibly be attached to.It's not even a game anymore. It's broken, and honestly I don't think they could even fix it if they wanted to because the Arma engine lets the client do too much. I'm done. Sorry Rocket, hackers have ruined what could have otherwise been a great game. And for what? I don't even know why a person would derive pleasure from ruining something like this for other people. Someone put in their own personal time and effort to give us this wonderful thing to play and it's been ruined. Nice job, dicks.And you can't even run a password protected server so you can play the way the game was meant to be played with people who value the game because you'll be blacklisted from the hive.
