It's the local servers getting fucked because you guys keep DDoS'ing them. I leave it between 10/20 minutes on server response before i decide enough is enough and i try again on a different server. Call me what you want, tell me i'm adding to the problem, whatever. undead_clown 2 Posted May 24, 2012 You guys do realize that a lot of servers are hosted on the same box. So even if it has 10/50 the other 3 servers on the same box could be maxed out and effecting that server.If I ever get stuck for more than 5 minutes waiting for server response I just go join a server with a different host name to make sure its not on the same box, and I get in 90% of the time. Slamz 6 Posted May 24, 2012 It's a bug/problem with individual servers, not really a capacity issue. The "central server is overloaded" rumor was based on bad information (and was obviously not true -- all you had to do was try a less popular server, say, in France, and you'd load right in).I wait for up to 5 minutes. If I don't get in by then, I switch servers. Ones that are freshly reset are best so if you ever get disconnected from a server, go right back to it -- it's probably restarting and you'll load right back in once it cycles, which only takes a minute or two.I would love to see a 500 seat server though. There's another rumor that ARMA 2 technically supports up to 1024 players on a server. Maybe those slots are being used by the zombies, though, I dunno.
