Can't use controls (scrollwheel), cannot pick up items, cannot use guns

Hey guys,

I just got DayZ working but cannot use my scrollwheel, pick up, use, or even detect items (ex. I found a gun where you could pick it up (usually) but the little message that normally appears to interact with items didn't appear. I also cannot use chat (I think I know how to resolve that issue, though.)

well it seems to work fine for everyone so maybe you have a shitty mouse?

try to tap all modifier keys once (CTRL, ALT, SHIFT) and then try scroll-wheel again
