silent sniper 18 Posted May 24, 2012 I was thinking as this is along the lines of a MMO style game, why not have an extra character slot to play as?I know alot of people will see this as a stupid idea as its permadeath, but at the moment I find myself not playing untill my mate is on, now that we have finally linked up ingame.Remember not everyone has all day trying to find their friends to have a game with. oktyabr 53 Posted May 24, 2012 Remember not everyone has all day trying to find their friends to have a game with.Hopefully this mod will be tuned back again to where you won't be able to survive that long anyway.Your best hope for this suggestion is a separate database for each server or maybe a small group of servers. That way you can have a character on each database. This also means that you would NOT be able to play a character on more than one database, which would be a great thing ultimately. DocHolliday (DayZ) 2 Posted May 24, 2012 A friends list would be a nice addition to the game. My brother and I have been trying to find each other for a while now. If you find a map and compass in the game it shows yourself as a "blue dot" on your map. It helps, but the other player has to have a map and compass as well. Maybe once the game expands, players could provide other roles such as a taxi service? I posted a thread in the Suggestions tab called "Gyrocopters". Maybe they would be good for transporting. While it is a long shot, and the game is somewhat still in it's infancy, it's something to think about. Maybe cans could be used as a monetary system, especially if they were able to be smelted into melee weapons.
