BoneZ (DayZ) 0 Posted May 24, 2012 Some of the things that I say here might somehow have been voiced in one form or another, so I beg forgiveness in advance for it.1 - WeatherNow the temperature is fairly critical parameter so in my opinion there should be some additional features.a) Enter the raincoats - in real life they are quite well protect you from the rain, why they should not work in the game. Coats can be of two types, civil (Poncho) which can spawn in the store and the military waterproof raincoats. Poncho may be very slow drop in temperature, but not completely, the military can completely stop the fall in temperature.b) Alcohol - good whiskey is a great help in fighting with the cold (in real life). The mechanism of action is the same as a meal, add a certain number of degrees in your temperature. Since alcohol is alcohol, let it do intoxication and poisoning, the conditions are not difficult to come up with.2 - FireplaceThe introduction of wood an excellent thing, but in life to find firewood in the forest (even in the rain) is not a problem even with no tools at hands, so I recommend to make a spawn of wood in the forests. You can also add saw to the toolbox (where a knife, matches, etc.), and sawing, for example, to get good pine wood.3 - ShelterIf you enter a saw, consider also the construction of the shelter (this is also something that anyone can do in real life) as an analogue of the tent. At the moment the game of a single survivior (which has two or three days experince) is reduced to jog to the north-west airfield, barracks in a search of the good rifle and ammos. After a trip, travel to other locations just makes no sense.5 - TrapsAt the moment, is missing a wonderful thing - traps that would have secured the tents, the entrances of the building, catching up wild animals and so on. And they can be of two types - the traps from the stores and improvised traps. For improvised traps one usually need a sticks, sometimes rope and a knife, so I propose to introduce it into the game, but since the trap requires some skill (not everyone knows how to do them) offer the "survivalist guide" which can be found in stores and that will give access to setting the traps (if there are components in your pocket of course).Sorry for my bad english. DocHolliday (DayZ) 2 Posted May 24, 2012 Great ideas here BoneZ. I would like to add an idea for the cans and bottles. Maybe there will be a purpose for them? If melee weapons or classes were introduced, one I think of is a blacksmith. For example you find 20 cans and a few empty bottles. You could go to a factory and smelt the steel and glass to create melee weapons, molotov cocktails, tools, or parts for vehicles. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
