Extremely low (less than 10) FPS In-Game

Recommended Posts

Date/Time: 19:20 BST

What happened: Any server I join, I'm getting a max of 8FPS, completely unplayable (measured framerate in FRAPS). I haven't changed anything since last night (when it was running VERY smoothly). I've checked all processes etc nothing running in the background that should cause this.

I've noticed there are two new options in the menu - something to do with trees and PP something, didn't look properly..

Can't stress enough I haven't changed a thing in the settings/server/connection since last night and it's all of a sudden done this.

Where you were: Any server

What you were doing: Anything

*Current installed version: v1.7.2.4

*Server(s) you were on: Any

*Your system specs: AMD Phenom II Black edition processor, HIS Radeon HD6870 IceQ edition, 8GB DDR3 RAM, 2TB free space.

*Timeline of events before/after error: Last night = Playing game fine, Right now = can't do anything.

I think its just certain servers for some strange reason, happens to me from time to time... just keep trying :)

There is only one reason for low FPS if you have a high end pc...it's server sided don't worry. Rocket has been trying to improve the FPS since DayZ came out.

Although there are a few possible tweaks that MAY help you.

OPTIMIZATION:

Go to My Documents/ArmA 2, open up the file called "<profilename>.ArmA2OAProfile"

Change these lines to the following:

shadingQuality=0

mouseSmoothing=1

fovTop=0.97500002;

fovLeft=1.5599999;

Start Arma with parameter -winxp
