Anyway, I need help in purchasing a new desktop that would run the DayZ mod at good quality . I have around £400 ish and i was looking at this to buy : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vibox-4-4GHz-Fast-Quad-Core-Gaming-PC-ATI-HD-6670-8GB-2TB-Multimedia-Computer-/221024520630?pt=UK_Computing_DesktopPCs&hash=item33761689b6#ht_2950wt_1270is this good enough? i don't have much Computer knowledge , so its hard for me to compare specs etc. Especially with graphics cards

Lito (DayZ) 6 Posted August 1, 2012 I would prefer a intel cpu and a better videocard, that one isn't really for top of the line gaming.

John69 64 Posted August 1, 2012 They claim its a gaming computer, and it has a HD 6670 gfx card, thats a LOW end gfx card.Change to HD6870, or the newer HD 7000 series the HD 7850/7770. They are middle class gfx cards and will run Arma 2/ DayZ with ease.

Evofrog 8 Posted August 1, 2012 To be honest, that's a horrible computer. As a general rule, don't EVER buy your computers or parts off ebay or cheap sites.. Your best bet is to build your own PC, obviously, but you mentioned your lack of computer knowledge so that's not really an option I guess although it is really easy and you can teach yourself to know what pieces go with what. If you're looking for a pre build PC you'll want to be looking specifically at the Processor(CPU) and Graphics card (GPU). Getting up a website that has benchmarks for each one helps you determine what's the best out there. Purchasing a new computer isn't something to rush into. Put some time into researching and reading reviews on parts to make sure you're buying the best.P.S I can't really help you build the PC since I'm not aware of prices in your currency/what sites are available to you. thxrelentless 0 Posted August 1, 2012 budget is i'd say £400-£500 , i have a xbox etc already so the desktop won;t be used for pure gaming all the time as i have gaming consoles. However since Arma 2 is only available for PC I'd like a decent desktop computer.

PK Richie 507 Posted August 1, 2012 As your budget is in £ GBP i presume you're in the UK ?If so i can vouch for these people > http://www.freshtechsolutions.co.uk really cheap systems and they don't include an OS if you don't need it.This for example is under your budget and a decent spec machine http://www.freshtechsolutions.co.uk/galaxy-3-amd-bulldozer-fx-4170-4-2ghz-desktop-gaming-pc-1tb-8gb-ddr3-gtx-550ti.html
VaultDweller (DayZ) 58 Posted August 1, 2012 (edited) Here is my opinion what you shoud get (its a best bank for that buck)Dont go INTEL with low budget,go AMD (you can get the amd for much cheaper price with similar performance)Graphic card (AMD or NVIDIA its preety much the same but get high quality one, this is where most of your budget goes)I'll recomment AMD 6850 HD or GTX 560 Ti (or non ti)Go with 4 GB of ram (upgrade it later save the money for GPU for now)HDD got his price insanely high cuz of the floods and all (go with 500 GB instead of 2 T without HDD,that budget cant afford one)regular dvd driveComp case is at your own disposal (choose it on your own)Good luck! Netsky3041 9 Posted August 3, 2012 I'd still say it'd be better to build your own especially with all the tutorials out there how to do it plus you can save a lot of money off it.
