FAO 'Rocket' + what do you guys think?

well its just an idea, but with all the suggestions that people have and ideas theyd like implemented into the game im sure its costing alot of time + money.

Rocket, props to you for making such an amazing mod.

i know its still in Alpha phase and you're still planning alot of new things for this mod, and even the concept of turning it into standalone version.

This, im guessing would take some serious funding. I know you have the backing of bohemia ( correct me if im wrong ) as this mod has sent the sales of arma2 sky high, however have you considered seeking funding for the project yourself?

Kickstarter would be a great option for the devs of this mod, might even give u the boost your looking for.

i'd strongly suggest registering your product on here rocket, and setting some goals. Ive got NO DOUBTS in my mind that whatever goal you seek, youd reach it with ease.

I don't mind paying, but there would have to be some sort of service level agreement. You can't expect people to pay for a wall of silence.

And that's probably why he hasn't made a kickstarter yet. Nobody he is forced to listen to.

They have considered it, Rocket has mentioned it several times on the forum (even created a topic asking us what we thought about it, but I can't find it)..

You'll be happy to know it got a lot of responses and Rocket himself said it might be something they look into when they can start making the game 100% standalone (not dependant on having Arma II), he's also said they he would be working towards getting it on Arma III's engine.
