Phenotype (DayZ) 1 Posted May 24, 2012 I think things are fine as they are. It should be hard/nerve wracking to bandage yourself when zombies are incoming - I like it!
vanrosemont 26 Posted May 24, 2012 If it cannot be changed I will of course adapt. But the realism argument people use just needs to stop. Realism would be having the bandages in my chestpocket or pockets in my pants, not somewhere hidden in a backpack when I need them. thats realism.
Overunity 0 Posted May 25, 2012 I'm not running out another option' date=' but the mouse wheel one just isn't feasible. I could add it as a userAction in the config though, thats a possibility.[/quote']Hi rocket I also prefered the mouse wheel action for bandaging but performance comes first. The solution as implemented is not ideal as having a large GUI in the center of my screen at night while dealing with a horde is not good. Would it be possible to have a smaller seperate GUI off center and opened with a hotkey ? I read your interview and agree with your views on the state of gaming in general but I don't understand your "consoley" comment as first aid has always been a mouse wheel action in Arma 2. Thank you for the mod it's awesome I've been "back in the days" (pun intended) all week.
Tyrog 10 Posted May 25, 2012 I have issues with the new inventory interface and bandaging... When i right click it, the button that says " bandage yourself " appears behind the menu, so i can't click it... unless i rearrange my inventory and place all mags first and bandage last, so it's on the right side of the slots... Which is very annoying when you are trying to run for your life, losing precious time and precious blood in the process...
bjarnidk 9 Posted May 25, 2012 NO.It adds to the realism.I love seeing non-arma players getting constantly butt hurt cause realismits sweet :)Clicking things in an inventory is not realistic at all.You may argue: ''Oh but in real life, you would have to pick it up from your backpack and THEN apply it!''Well my argument is that it sure as fuck doesn't feel like that. It just feels clumsy and annoying.
