bigbubsjr@gmail.com 3 Posted May 24, 2012 Does anyone else get a weird feeling when you switch out a weapon you have had for ages to a better military one? I feel like the my previous weapon is more familiar and it got me this far, and my new weapon might be shit and I'll get killed in a pvp fight.
Bandit Hunter 29 Posted May 24, 2012 High level equipment makes you a target, makes you stress about losing it upon death, makes you stress about finding ammo, ect. I'll have my Winchester, please!
Hambone 1 Posted May 24, 2012 I know the feeling, Jord. Attachment to a faithful sidearm or piece of equipment has prevented me from picking up what might have been a superior weapon. Getting familiar and used to a specific item means you know exactly when you can and cannot engage a target with it. That provides a level of comfort for the user and helps define your tactics in the game. For the longest time I refused to let go of my Winchester and Makarov. Even with the louder sound of the 1588 the slugs will drop zeds and players in one solid hit. But there is something to be said with knowing the ins and outs of the various firearms -- especially if you find yourself on the receiving end!I say break the mold: if you find a new gun, give it a go! I found an M16A2 the other day right off the bat from a spawn-in. At first I thought I would hate it, but it has proven itself in multiple situations where I had to drop zeds fast, or engage a bandit who wanted my beans.
