Even though i know this would be virtually impossible to do in the arma engine... I feel that this concept could make for a FIERCE game...

Essentially adding a way to track somebody, say through spotting footsteps left in mud, or a broken tree branch through a forest or grass turned over... The detail going into it would be way to big to be dooable, but if somebody could put that in a game like DayZ that would be a BIG winner in my books...

Also not sure if somebody has suggested this already... But boohoo...

Have you noticed flattened bushes and flattened grass yet?

But that's only when you prone threw it, I like this idea just make it for all movement. Instead of prone movement.

Yeah the grass flattening works, but thats the only real thing you got... and its not like you can track somebody for 15-20 minutes on the off chance that they prone their way across the map. Just to have things that are hard to spot unless your looking for it... Tree branches bent if a player runs too close, footsteps in mud, have them drop an empty can if they eat or drink from a can, shell casings from guns, etc... It would be bloody hard to do, but the result would be amazing in my books...

This would be a great thing, but I'm thinking way too much for the server to handle.
