Just bought a HFB server and require some help..

Hi,

I'm very new to server hosting, and I kinda thought it would just be a matter of buying a server and voila, but thats not the case so I was wondering if anyone had a quick start up guide they had specifically for HFBservers.

Under the services tab it says my server is Active. Yet when im using the control panel, the status of my server is unknown. If i follow the IP address of the server using the in game server browser, nothing is listed. When I click on current activity it says my server with the IP address is "stopped". Yet i'm not sure how to start it?

Also it seems that when i click on Updates, there are a few updates that need doing, such as the new beta and the core dayz files itself. They are listed as 'not installed' yet when i click on 'install' it says 'this update cannot be installed at this time'.

So i'm at a loss on how to proceed next.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Actually if you're unable to install updates you should send in a ticket. That isn't normal

Your server has just been set up (which is why it was marked as 'Active'), however it's not usable just yet!

See, each server needs to download a 17gb file (and then extract the contents onto the box). This is an extraordinary amount of data and takes 2-3 hours to fully set-up, usually.

In the updates, they will show up as not installed until you install them. You will have to wait to do this until your server is done installing.
