New Crossbow Ammo Idea

I am a keen archer and love the inclusion of bows in this game, but I think the overall range and accuracy of the cross bow is disappointing. I know that bows could easily reach 100 yards and more with the right equipment.

How about adding a new Carbon bolt which increases the range of the crossbow, or even a scoped version of the existing crossbow much like the SD and scoped versions of the M4 and M16.

The carbon bolt could be destroyed on use.

yeah, youre right. put at least a scope on that thing, so we can actually hit something.

2 things to add about crossbows in general :

1) please make retrieving arrows easier by including arrows INSIDE dead zombie inventory.

2)give us option to use knife on wood sticks to create arrows - there should be penalty of accuracy and distance and time required for creating one arrow.

Yes a crossbow bolt should be able to go 200 yards, however it should drop quite a lot in height and it would most likely take 2s+.

Hunting crossbows are 200-300 fps I think. ~1s for 100 yards.
