Limit newbie posts

Recommended Posts

So many posts are regurgitations and useless repetitions of others, or "THIS MOD SUCKS; LOL". Put all the new accounts so they only have access to the newbie section of the forums. Hire ten trusted volunteer mods to do simple scans of users in the newbie forums, and give full access to users that have something to contribute (ideas, constructive posts, etc.) - let those who have nothing to contribute to stay put in the newbie section, and allow the rest of the forum members to ignore that section alltogether if they wish.

a good idea in theory, but i don't think there is a feasible way to make this happen. once communities have 'forum police' / overly aggressive moderators things go downhill.

Moderator approved ideas will work and the system is already in place on these servers.

You are trying to go too big, too quickly.

Every game has forum spam that is useless, I'll admit it's annoying to see a really good thread get dropped off the front page by waves of "MY AWEEEESOME IDAE 2 STP HACKER" & "WHO'S SHOOTING IN CHERNO???"

Your idea is great but it encourages spam more then it deters it
