My first camping tent

Hello friends, a lot is happening in DayZ for me and my buddy this evening. We found two heli crashes, and a barrett and now a ghillie. We also found a camping tent, which we want to use, but I cannot saeem to place it. It gives the message, You need to be somewhere flat.....bla bla bla. What must I do, I have seen tents placed the wierdest places. Steep hills and inside trees, and the like. Is there some trick to using the tent?

Move an inch and try to place it, move another inch and try to place it. Rinse and repeat until successful.

With your inventory menu open, try placing the tent. If it fails then take a SLOW step back while the inventory is still OPEN and try to place it again.

Not sure if this is a bug or just really bad programming but if you want to place ur tent here is how...

Crouch

Open youre gear

Right click the tent

Hit C

You should now be able to move around with your gear open and repeatedly try place the tent youll get eventually when u keep moving
