A hack or a bug? Server: NL3 hosted by SoH

I was going about my business in cherno on the NL3 server at around hosted by the clan "SoH", collecting loot at around 1020 Copenhagen, Denmark time. Then suddenly the server text starts broadcasting messages like x name was killed by [soH]Cooldevils. Three different guys gets killed by this bloke, and all I initially think is "well done - 3 guys by yourself!". But then it keeps going and I reckon it only stops after around 10-12 people are dead by this guy. Then someone yells "FUCKING HACKER" in the chat, and that's when I start asking questions aswell. No answers from the numerous SoH guys on the server, which is why I'm making this thread.

Is it a bug, or are the server administrators hacking?

Yes he killed everyone and all my gameplay from 2 hours reverted after i disconnected...

Probably logged into that strange 'field' filled with everyone and shot them.

SOH clan are a bunch best avoided. I've encountered them only once and they only enjoy killing other players just for the sake of killing them. Good to know they host NL3.

Good day i am clan leader of soh, i was on teamspeak with this guy who killed these guys. He said to me : i spawn in the wilderness on cordinates (987/078) and there are spawning alot of players in front of me.. so he scared and didnt want to die so he killed them.. i told him immidiatly to stop doing it and disconnect to let me fix the problem.

i really want to apoligize to the players who might have lost gear. i can give you personnally some of my own gear if you want.

i have spoken with cooldevils the player wich killed those players and i told him not to play anymore untill his problem is fixed. i have emaild and spoken with various admins to reset his account so he can spawn properly again...

again my apoligizes!!!! but please what would you guys have done if some players just spawn in front of you???

i have seen and heard alot of complaining from alot of players on various servers who spawn in a god forgotten place.. and playtime not being saved etc etc ..

i hope you all understand this and this player will not play untill his acount has been reset.

PS: absolutely NO HACKS HAVE BEEN USED .. this was just an unpleasant bug

I'm very sorry that this happened. We have made very sure that this person won't do this again.

For the part that SoH only kills for the fun of it, that is untrue. We do tend to shoot at sight for our own safety because we don't need to team up. But we never approach players just to kill them.

I understand. I would probably have done the same thing, had I seen 10 guys standing in front of me. It just seemed very strange at the time, and when I asked in side chat about the incident, none of you SoH players responded. Thus the thread.

But now that its sorted, we can all go back and have fun! :-)

Our server is online since yesterday and we still have some issues so our admins are in the lobby but not allways ingame. Really sorry for the inconvenience and i hope this thread can be closed.

We are allways a friendly clan but like jasper said allready we allways shoot on sight to protect ourselves but we do not search for the players just to kill them.

The situation I saw unrolling was that some player was killed by SOH members, and then he asked them to let him get his gear back. He even proposed to come without a weapon. When he did eventually show up, he got killed again by the same guys (there were two of them), which had a laugh about it afterwards. They were stating as a reason "I told you to stay away from that helicopter". Not very friendly if you ask me.

That's not true. I think you are referring to the situation about a week ago. There was a helicopter north of elektro and we told the guy (gladia.bf2 i believe) to stay away from the helicopter. He kept on saying he wouldn't shoot, and we kept on warning him we would. He showed up and bang.

Anyway, this forum is not for starting a hate rage against our clan. It's for reporting hackers.
