BattlEye Initialization Error..please help me, I'm going to lose it.

Recommended Posts

Alright as you can tell I'm new to the forum, but not new to the game. I've had ARMA 2 for over three months now and had started the DayZ mod not too long after purchasing the Combined Operations Bundle. I used to have no problem getting online and hopping right into a server, but since the updates and patches and whatnot I've had nothing but trouble. I finally re-downloaded the games themselves and re-installed all the files and whatnot, which I've done multiple times and I know I've done everything correctly, accept for one thing. My first installation I had trouble with BattlEye, it was a quick and simple fix of going to the site and downloading the file to my computer and dragging it into my BattlEye folder. So after finally re-downloading everything I run the game and attempt to join a server and to my surprise "BattlEye Initialization Error" pops up on the screen, I figure no big deal, and go on the BE site as I had before to download what I need to my computer. After trying to open my download, this pops up

"This file does not have a program associated with it for preforming this action. Please install a program, or if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel." ..What in the hell do I need to do? I'm about to throw my computer out the window at this point -__-
