Are we allowed to edit the Squad.xml? Is that in any sort of violation of the hosting a server rules?

That allows us to put clan tags and upload a logo to the server which will be displayed on vehicles.

Before I change anything wanted to verify this is allowed as I know several groups are doing it... considering it's on the Bohemia Interactive wiki.

Squad.xml has nothing to do with DayZ. It's for squad use "imagine that" and the decal just shows up on the side of some vehicles and in the mission briefing window/player list tab. It's perfectly ok for you to set that up.
