jordan2412 60 Posted July 31, 2012 (edited) Hi,I saw a server hosted by HFB servers that said in the title "NOOB Friendly, NO PVP". Has anyone seen this? I was using DayZ Commander. Also, as HFB servers is a large hosting site, I doubt they would do anything to get a server blacklisted. Could this be allowed by Rocket? Or could it be a sneaky admin? Doubt a hacker could do that....I found it last night, so I don't know the server number. Searching noob or pvp worked last night when I told a friend about it, but we couldn't join.. ThatGuyCalledReptile 314 Posted July 31, 2012 Making rules like NO PVP is not allowed. If they take action due to this they will most likely be blacklisted.
Streaforce 7 Posted July 31, 2012 (edited) The server admin is asking you for not shooting somebody (no pvp) but actually he can not stop you from doing it (if he does the server gets blacklisted). So it is your choice whether you do want to follow those rules or not. And ofcourse it is nothing bad if the server admin asks for some kindness and friendly behaviour. kiotie 23 Posted July 31, 2012 If you can get any more information about the server, it would help. Did it say "hosted by HFB servers" in the title?

Thank you. If you can get any more information about the server, it would help. Did it say "hosted by HFB servers" in the title? I think I can find it in a recent server list when I get home, but i'm at work now :/ ... I would assume User Streaforce is correct. I'll update this page in a couple hours with the server, providing I can find it..Edit: Yes, it did say Hosted by HFB servers. Jarnis 43 Posted July 31, 2012 A noble idea, yet if it catches on in any way, these will be a magnet for bandits who like to pee in other people's cherios...
ryahn 112 Posted July 31, 2012 (edited) This is the only server I was able find with thisUS 1557(newbs easy start no pvp) (v1.7.2.4/Beta 95389) [Recruit 3DP:1 CH:1] dayzmod.com - hosted by Casual Gamers INCIf they are banning people because of PVP, then we will contact the owner directly and ask him to change that. Prion 61 Posted July 31, 2012 HFBServers wouldn't be blacklisted, the server itself would be. dayz wouldn't bother blacklisting an entire hosting company, they would focus on the single server in violation.

I didn't see this one yesterday. srry guys, wish I had the server name. I was more curious if it was allowed than to try and get the server in trouble or anything, or else I would have copied the server name... I use HFB servers a lot, as I live on the west coast..HFBServers wouldn't be blacklisted, the server itself would be. dayz wouldn't bother blacklisting an entire hosting company, they would focus on the single server in violation.Right, I didn't think all of them would be. If it sounded like I did, its because I wrote the OP fast while at lunch break.Edited OP just for you. ;) Edited July 31, 2012 by jordan2412
S_poon 69 Posted July 31, 2012 HFB will be asked to shut down the offending server, as blacklisting would affect multiple servers on a single machine. Which is not fair.
