Some collected questions on Dayz

Recommended Posts

Some Questions I have on dayz:

1. Zombie Movement: I don't have a problem with the fact that zombies are fast. Actually i prefer this kind of 28 Days Later Infected. But is it due to a design choice that zombies are super fast if they aggro until they are in my vicinity (If I shoot a lee Enfield a zombie 200m away will be nearly instantly at me and then continue to run at my speed) or is it due to the well known issues with the ArmA Engine?

2. Zombie Spawning: I figured out that Zombies spawn in my vicinity if I am around buildings. If I watch a village from far away and see zombies, it means that an other player has been there. But does this mean that he is still around? Do Spawned zombies despawn if I leave an area or do they stay?

Thanks for anwsering :)

1) I believe it is intended, but there are more and more poeple bitching about it (i have no issues) that rocket might lower their speed.

2) Yes, if you watch a town from a fair distance, and see zombies spawn, a player has been there recently or still there, exercise extreme caution.

Not sure about the first, but I am pretty sure they do dissapear when around 200m away. So if theres zombies in a town a big distance away from you, brace yourself =)
