It's raining Zombies!

Zombies falling from the sky last night, I have never seen it before - at first I thought it could be a hacker but the zombies just seem to fall in certain areas (spawns near small houses etc).

Doesn't appear to be a server issue as I swapped to see if the issue was fixed, also the location didn't seem to matter as I travelled to seperate towns.

Am I losing my mind or is this quite common?
