Would you compare this to DS in that initially you just get killed and killed and killed til you wise up and start planning ?

Dark Souls is a Console only (at least so far) RPG which is extremely hard. You get killed over and over and over again, loose all your 'souls' after dying as well as humanity.

I would say they're comparable that way as I've raged in both games more than once cuz I died either cuz of an idiot mistake on my part or some asshole monster just clogs the sh** out of you faster than you can say 'Holy crap, I'm gonna get slaughtered here...' ;)
