Do the demos work?

Playing DayZ would require downloading Arma II and Operation Arrowhead, which is approximately 20gigs of harddrive space, takes forever to download, and costs a lot.

Would the demos happen to work in lieu of the actual game and OA DLC?

Gonna take a wild stab in the dark, you want to play the mod..but you don't want to pay for it.

Yes you can play it with the demo (ARMA 2 Free) + Operation Arrowhead, but it will be horrible textures. If you don't mind that, go ahead, save 10€.

The map is from ARMA 2, the mod is a mod for Arrowhead.

"Costs alot"?? 25€ compaired to 50-60€ for a new game...and you get 2 games + a great mod (and alot of other cool missions/mods).

It only takes forever to download, if you have a crap connection...and even then, you can just leave the download going overnight.

And 18 gigs*

So what I'm understanding is that the demo for ArmA II would work. But do I still have to buy Arrowhead, or can I use the Arrowhead demo?
