rapid12 2 Posted May 24, 2012 New here, I was compelled to ask why the youtube vids of DayZ show groups of people talking over the internet. Yet, I am yet to witness such a thing while actually playing it. Even using the built-in VOIP is frowned upon in this game.So, long moan short...how the fuck does one get to team up and talk with others who are playing in the same server? Bandit Hunter 29 Posted May 24, 2012 If you're grouping with just another survivor, even temporarily, (and are using steam,) you can use steam voice call as in-game chat. Trying to keep someone in view while you're typing to them is risky, and I know as I've been killed by people while typing a friendly message to them. Haiiro 1 Posted May 24, 2012 People generally don't disapprove of using ingame voip BUT set it to direct communication, having 40 people talking in the global voip chat can be fairly annoying.
