newb (DayZ) 4 Posted July 31, 2012 With the removal of the temperature gauge, are heatpacks now useless? I still carry one or two just in case, but I really don't feel like wasting the inventory space when there are beans around.

Tracker (DayZ) 7 Posted July 31, 2012 I carry one.Granted they're easy to find..but so are beans and countless people starved to death, might as well shove one into the dark depths of your backpack.

simonjames 25 Posted July 31, 2012 (edited) I've only ever had to use a heat pack once so don't carry them any more. Maybe when winter comes they'll be more useful, I'm not sure what time of year the servers are set too at the moment though or if they even follow real time seasons. Arma 2 proper does have settings for time of year when you set up missions.Anyone know the answer to that ? Edited July 31, 2012 by BoneMender
KaeSlick 0 Posted July 31, 2012 Waste of space if you ask me. Never had to use it once.
Sticker704 121 Posted July 31, 2012 (edited) Only used it once and I didn't even need to. If my temp dropped, then I just lit a fire.Oh, temp is still there, just not on the debug screen. Edited July 31, 2012 by Sticker704
