Settings doesn't save (Dayz settings)

So, as stated in the title, the when I change settings in game (I'm not using a launcher or anything nor do I want to) they never save. Well they used to, take my server filter for example, It's currently at "1.7.1.5" each and every time I start the game which is obviously the last time it did actually save when I changed. This was just a minor problem as first that didn't really bother me, but having to change it every single time (and some video settings, and player profile settings) is really starting to frustrate me.

Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong? Help would be appreciated.

shameless bump. Tried to start the game as an admin etc. Didnt help
