Waterproof Backpacks?

When I was swimming Today I managed to keep all my stuff but after dying and re spawning I found a Czech backpack, filled it up and did the same again, and lost all my equipment straight away, are some of the backpacks on this waterproof? i.e the Alice pack, or is it a server thing?

i dont know, i went in 2 different servers today.

swim with coyote and didnt lose it. so could be :D

Part of the game i believe. (Arma 2 not Day Z)

My Tip: Abort as soon as it disappears and reload, should be back.
