Confused about ALT+ F4ers

So I hear people complaining about people ALT+F4 to close the game during fire fights. I was wondering how they were even doing that. The only time you can use F4 or the other F buttons is when you're unconscious. Other wise it brings up a list of commands on the left side. So how are people still D/c randomly when not unconscious.

It's a server option to have alt-f4 open the commands menu. (I think)

The term is still used though to refer to any sort of quick disconnect.

Yes, alt-f4 is simply an internet-ism for quickly closing a program.

It's also possible to just CTRL+ALT+DELETE and then terminate the program from there.

Alt-F4 just refers to the act of closing the game or quickly disconnection no matter the tools used to accomplish it, heck, pulling your LAN cable out of your PC can also do the trick.

ALT-F4 is ability to call mulligan in the gunfight you are losing. Usually someone that ALT-F4's will re-appear in a more advantageous area of the map so that he has a fair chance to win the fight. IF he still cannot win he will ALT-F4 again until he can finally gain a even match against his opponent and win though skill alone without the use of cover, elevation, range, ect.

Anything that doesn't isntantly close out program seems like a waste. If I have to CTRL + ALT+ DELETE or hit escape and abort that gives a few seconds for me to be shot or killed by zombies while sitting idle. doesn't seem worth it someone is shooting at you or zombies aggro.

I enjoy getting in fire fights when players start them off. I am a pretty passive player but when it comes to a death of a friend I go hell on wheels after them. They will usually disconnect If i get the better of them before I can kill them all off.

I don't think you could defend this statement in real life. I'd go so far as to call it fucking retarded. Playing an alpha means taking advantage of every bug you can until you damn well crash the whole server around you...and then making a bug report.

What taking advantage of a bug DOESN'T indicate is a person's real life integrity or bravery as neither of the characteristics have anything to do with a zombie simulation leisure activity.

Lashing out at someone angrily for doing such a thing, though, and making claims about their character based on it... now that belies some serious personal issues with fulfillment. :)

A: it's not real life

B: people who abuse exploits have no integrity(in the game, but now that you mention it they probably do cheat at other things as well)

C: it's usually the assholes who start fire fights that Alt-f4

D: I didnt attack anyone personally or specifically point out anyone in this comment, the fact that you have taken it so personally as to call me out and defend the people using these exploits speaks loudly to both your character and most likely your style of play as well. Think before you rant and speak dumbass
