Run/Walk Icon & Prone/Crouch/Stand Icon

Recommended Posts

I would like a UI element that shows if I am currently in run or walk mode. I'm pretty sure I would know which one I am about to do in real life so it seems like a realistic addition. Sometimes it can be confusing which way the toggle is until it is too late.

Similarly, an icon for which state you are in: prone, crouch, or stand. This is mainly an issue on servers with no 3rd person but could be useful if you are aiming and don't want to zoom out to look.

If people want to gimp their field of view by playing First Person Only, let them. It doesn't make them any more badass or any more hardcore. It just makes them refuse their peripheral vision as first person in Arma 2 isn't anywhere close to realistic field of view.

Dearest Rayken,

As someone that has personally had the discussion regarding 1st person vs 3rd person multiple times already, I must fervently implore that you cease your silliness post-haste. The Arma 2 manual explicitly states that first person is the most realistic, and the game already has peripheral vision built into the engine in the form of white circles near the edges of your screen. As well, the fov is fully changeable. If, however, your opinion derives from the fact that you are an alien with prehensile eyeballs, and can see everywhere around you at once, I retract my statements.

With love,

Zetal
