Question on refuel

I've found a boat deep inside the sea. Figured i will drop my stuff at the coast and get the boat. Eventually the boat was out of fuel... My question is, can you refuel the boat by swimming nearby if you bring a jerry can? Thanks

If the jerry can is full of fuel, then you can refuel the boat. Simple

you don't need to drop your stuff anymore most servers should have that issue fixed.
