weapons slot size?

Is there a list somewhere that tells you how many slots any item you find in game will take up in your inventory?

Main weapons = 10 slots

Secondary = 5 slots

Try the wiki, but sidearms take 4. Primary takes 10.

I wish the weapons would not delete when trying to store them but rather fail to be stored with a message "you don't have enough space fool."

Here's an advice for you OP:

If you have 2 primary weps, one in your hands and one in your backpack, and you want to switch them without any of those disappear, you should TAKE the SECOND weapon OUT OF YOUR BACKPACK.

Don't even try to put your primary weapon inside the full backpack in order to switch weapons, it will cause your weapon to diasppear.
