What Graphics Card do you Reccomend for DayZ?

Recommended Posts

My current one runs DayZ at 15-20 FPS on the lowest possible settings, and since my birthday is coming up, I can get a new one. (Yeah, I made a thread earlier but didn't list my specs.)

I currently have $311 to spend, so I suppose I can get a good one.

Specs:

Model: Inspiron 580

Processor: Intel® Core™ i3 CPU

Installed Memory (RAM): 6.00 GB (5.80 GB usable)

System Type: 64-bit Operating System

OS: Windows 7

Why not update your old thread with your specs?

If you have $311 to spend, and you have an intel CPU. go for Nvidia 500 series. (600 if you want to blow it all)

The problem you have currently... is if you upgrade your video card (no idea what you have, you didnt post it above) then you're going to have a 'bottleneck' with your processor. Basically, that means your videocard wont be used at it's max capacity because it will be waiting on your processor. I would expect an increase in fps, but nothing spectacular unless you had the money to upgrade your processor to an i5 at least.
