recomended operating systems

i cant decide if ill instal windows xp or windows 7 again, what would you recommend for a gaming pc

Uh, XP is slowly (by slowly i mean the next year) being out-dated.

Windows 7 is so far the new kid on the block which is admittingly better than vista. But XP, in terms of system stability and other nerdy stuff, is better.

So for gaming strictly, Windows 7

If you're a hyper nerd, you shouldn't even be asking this question

Windows XP is a solid platform for most games although it is dated, I've used Windows 7 64-bit for a few years and have never had any non-fixable issues, most newer games are easily compatible.

just got to make sure to not to install games to the program files and run everything as an administrator or turn UAC off
