Where is my character located in my files.. (more info inside)

Recommended Posts

So, I want to do a complete system restore because my computer is VERY cluttered (15gb left of 488gb hard drive) and half of the stuff I don'y need. I want to do this but I do not want to lose my character in dayz. So what do I have to keep my character?

You're character is saved in the hive database therefore no character files are kept on the user's computer i believe.

It is just the game files and the mod files that are kept on a client's computer.

It's saved on the HIVE which is sort - of server side so you're fine to do your restore and not lose your character. You'll just have to make new binds. The character is tied to the cdkey, not a file.
