Strykerles 4 Posted July 30, 2012 So i'm in cherno nr the hospital and spot 2 dead players. i sneak round the area to see if the shooter is nearby and there's nothing. i loot the corpses and enter a nearby building. i get shot in the back as i enter but it doesn't kill me. i run upstairs and bandage myself and wait to see if he follows while aiming at the staircase with my AK. next thing iknow there's automatic fire going off and i'm killed. i was in a room with no windows and only 1 door. is this a known bug/glitch or are some guns just so powerful they defy the laws of physics???thanx for looking Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

renulan 9 Posted July 30, 2012 Yeah, I've been on hospital roofs and the guys have shot me from underneath, they even told me they were going to do it, and then they did... my buddy was just around the corner about to kill them and even saw them shooting up, which killed me. ninjaholic 116 Posted July 30, 2012 Most high calibre firearms go straight through cinderblocks. AS50 is no exception and would leave holes the size of golf balls in the wall. Behind your corpse. Could be hacks, could be a very good shot. The human mind is VERY good at spacial relations if you practice it. I'm a pretty decent wallbanger and can often severely harm or kill someone through trees and some walls anticipating where they're running to. It's hard to say. LivingError 23 Posted July 30, 2012 (edited) Also the game stores its plants and buildings in certain files. If you remove them the the engine just doesn't render those objects. A ghetto hack that can be thwarted with a simple check by the server for missing or corrupt files. Thankfully most servers check for this now. I am going to take a guess that you were at the apartment buildings. ANd that you ran into the SMALL apartment to the left of the Hospital. There is a glitch there. You can literally run through the wall where the ladder is. Just walk towards the ladder and you will go right into it.EDIT: Actually all SMALL apartments have this issue. I've heard of hacks that remove trees altogether for the hacker so he can shoot right through them. These guys are also correct about the bullets going through the wall, but I've never seen it happen in DayZ. Bullets go threw walls like butter. Unless they are made of cinderblocks. Then a FMJ .308 and bigger will do it. I use a .308 20round semi-automatic for home defence for this very reason. It will shoot threw all the walls in my house "dry wall,plywood". While you guys step or point your gun down my hallway ill be shooting from inside my room threw the walls into the hallway. To bad that poor basterd wont be able to make a "I got shot threw a wall thread". Most guns do shoot threw walls in Arma but hackers are king atm...and of course wall glitches...P.S.
