BUTLER (DayZ) 4 Posted July 30, 2012 I was shot within 20 seconds once in the middle of nowhere next to my camp. Logged in, and started checking my tents and then I got sniped. Almost looked like they were camping the base, just waiting for someone to show up.I've also had someone practically logging in on top of me while I was looting the barracks. I'm not a PvPer, if I had seen him before i'd have just waited for him to leave before entering the building. But since he spawned right in front of me, armed with a shotgun, I panicked and shot him twice (a quick double tap) with my AK. If you absolutely have to log out inside a building (e.g. you are looting the barracks and the missus "asks" you to take the garbage out :P ), back in a corner, facing the door. Make sure you are not touching the walls as I've heard people saying they glitched into the wall when reconnecting and died. seze 9 Posted July 30, 2012 The only occurrence of that was last night. I logged out on the Dobry hill near Elektro, on the northern side of it closer to the Dam. Right when I log in, I hear the sounds of shots. For a second I thought maybe someone was throwing down on sniper hill or something. However, that was not the case. Like 3 shots later, I start to hear the second sound(The sound of bullets landing between your feet). It's odd being decked out in Guille, logging on prone in some bushes and being shot at without doing nothing more than using ALT to look around. I didn't actually get shot though, thankfully.
