Using the "respawn" button should make you wait for about 5-10 minutes.

To avoid players abusing the respawn function to get better and better spawning points, i suggest that when using the respawn button, a player should be kicked and unable to play for about 5 to 10 minutes max.

As rocket stated, repeatingly spamming the respawn button is bad for the mod, so a sort of delay should only be fair.

I think you should explain this a little better. Because waiting to spawn if one dies is only going to infuriate you even more. Its bad enough getting killed and losing all of your hard earned equipment. But I see what you are talking about, the respawn option just increment the more times you use it. There could be situations where you get stuck in like geometry or some other bug or future bug and need to respawn. This is something you should not penalize the player. But repeated use should cause a longer and longer timer. Finally reset say after an hour of play.

So say you break your bones in a zombie attack, and you nearly bleed out, at some hunting stand in the middle of nowhere, on a server with 2 dudes on it. You have no morphine.

You really want to force the player to crawl for 5 hours to a hospital (if he is even aware of the fact that there are hospitals in the game), instead of just letting him respawn?

I get what you're saying, the respawning to get better start positions is exploitative, and not in the spirit of the mod. Maybe you're right in that regard.

So I propose that respawning will spawn you at a random location, and all further respawns in a time window of 5-10 minutes will spawn you at said location. Furthermore, there is a timer displayed saying "Next random respawn location pick in x minutes" (with snazzier wording, of course).

Just make the time between allowing respawns increase exponentially every time it's used, with playtime in between uses eventually cancelling it out. Spammers will have to wait longer and longer to respawn, while legit players won't be penalized.
