Cheating has become quite an issue...

Recommended Posts

Earlier today, playing Day Z on the GB #00 London server upon Green Mountain, out of nowhere I found myself being turned into a goat, some ginger haired guy was saluting to me. I Aborted immediately before the script completed but a friend of mine was teleported out to sea and then back, without gear - unable to move, and still a goat.

Later on today in the UK120 server, me and a friend were hiding in a pine tree overlooking Elektro... Him, spotting, me sniping. We had friends in the town. Out of nowhere a guy was singing over direct coms behind us. Me and my friend look over at one another, he disappears and I follow suit (dick move, I know) ... However our friends in town were hearing the odd sounds of an automatic grenade launcher pummelling the town, from all directions - they too logged out.

While I certainly don't condone ALT+F4ing , in situations like these - what else can you do? Anyhow, prior to writing, such scripts were a mild annoyance - yes there are 'game-wreckers', 'script kiddies' and 'cheats' every game has them.... But their frequency is severely hampering my enjoyment of the mod.

Bottom line:

Battle-eye is not doing it's job :-(

Bottom line is that the game has gone mega-popular and with that influx of players come an influx of players willing to use cheats. What online games do you play where script kiddies havent been a pain in the arse?

All I'd say is it's part of the plan - this is an exercises and even the nugget cheaters are playing their part in what will hopefully be a worthy full release!

Just shot someone at least 10 times with a 1911, no kill.

Invinci-hack maybe?
