My opinion have changed significantly over the months playing DayZ and reading back on this I see the stupidity and ignorance of my thinking. It's easy to give an opinion when you dont know shit! :)

So here is the new edit.

1. Love the game to pieces

2. Keep on evolving and changing and playing arroud with concepts.

3. Keep up the super awesome work you guys are doing.

4. Ignore the haters

5. Can't wait for the SA even though i'd most probably still play DayZ Mod too.

6. From all of the gamers over the world.. Thank you x 7000 for the effort you guys are putting into DayZ

lol yea, i would have said.. DayZ Suggestion but that would have just not worked cause everyone's got their own suggestion they want implemented into the game.. and sex sells :P

I'm pretty sure it's in alpha, not beta. Either way, the problem with the "rewarding the bushmen" part is that people know the spawn points for stuff on the map. People would check these 24/7 as they're not random spawns like helicopter crashes. "By the time the game is out of Beta 60% and more of the people will not be playing anymore... which is also a FACT!" I don't know how you can make this claim, or what you based it on. If you just pulled the percentage out of your ass and called it a fact then just remove that sentence. "Zombies in general are very stupid creatures they rely on brute strength," yet you say they should run slow with their brute strength. I don't really get how slower zombies is any different than running zombies into a barn where they run slow so you can shoot them.

Personally I think zombies need to be able to run fast, probably slightly slower than they do now, indoors. Threatening zombies would make people need to deal with them more than they do now. The problem is you can go to a city, find a gun, and find an entire inventory worth of ammunition for it (Lee Enfield). Then I think you need a way to deal with zombies if you don't have a gun. This is where a melee weapon would be nice, as they would be more common. To make melee weapons not the only thing used on zombies you could make them have durability. This way people's melee weapons would break, they'd need ammo to shoot zombies, and wouldn't be so careless to shoot all of their precious ammo at other players. This could also encourage teaming up because if you aggro hordes of zombies you might not be able to shoot them and kill them all before they run up to you in the house or wherever before you get hit some. You'd probably need someone else helping you kill them.

Overall, some good ideas, and some bad.

so what you are suggesting is that he should let the game develop itself, but not go away from zombie survival like it is right now (which is basically hindering from developing itself)

that you fear slow zombies, thus everyone must as well (even though slow zombies aren't scary in a game)

that it is beta even though it's alpha.

BTW: they are not Zombies, they are Zeds, the ''zombie'' you speak of is a dead come back to life rotting zombie, these are just infected people who kill and eat other people... much like a sort of mad cow disease, just for humans.

besides, what is scary about a walking zombie that notices you because your careless, compared to a running zombie that notices you because you are careless. I'd say you attract a lot more attention with a running zombie than with a walking zombie, and they are actually dangerous.

but hunger and thirst should take longer before they run out, and food and water should maybe be a little (a little) bit more scarce

i like to see where you get your ''FACT'' numbers from though, sound pulled out the arse to me

Yes everyone lieks to be rewarded, but this is not single player, you are not the hero of the story, you are 1 guy in hundreds of thousands, and you CAN find relatively good gear out in the wilderness, i found an AK plus mags at a shack in the middle of nowhere, that isn't FANTASTIC loot, but it is better than nothing, and better than what spawns there normally

i think it would be a good thing, to rare the weapons, or ammunition. people would think twice "will it pay off my bullet to kill this noob with only one bandage and a painkiller"?

at the moment its like noobs never get equipmet, and pros just rush through citys and are fully equiped within 10 minutes. there is no thrill losing your hard earned equipment, since its not hard earned.

also, sidenote: might a good change:

make fewer zeds, but also some in the wilderness. their sense of hearing and so on will not be changed. instead, they take infinite body-hits, but one headshot.

maybe, make them fewer but stronger, so you actually have to make your way around them if possible.

I bought Arma II CO just to play DayZ, I honestly don't see the problem in that. DayZ only got better once it went mainstream. You only liked it when i wasn't mainstream because there was less competition.

What? Don't see the problem in what? The game would be absolutely boring if there were 0 competition as the zombies don't provide any threat.

The zombies are retardedly predictable. It would be a much cooler system to have a town look empty, and then zombies spawn behind you when you least expect it and grab you, similar to old time zombie movies. It would make going into town a lot more cautious event even with a weapon, because zombies could just pop right behind you.

And I hesitate to say this, but, mutations would also be cool, harkening to Resident Evil. For instance, the occasional super zombie or mutated zombie beast.

I don't care about players going around to shoot/kill me. Haven't you seen Dawn of the Dead? Gangs of people go around with high powered guns and rifles, looting the shit out of places and killing anyone around them. Survivors have to fight back against those bandits with guns as well. The games true to the genre in that sense.

I don't like the idea of zombies spawning right behind you and grabbing you, because this gives you literally no chance... no matter how stealthy you are this could happen, and would be annoying if you took loads of time making sure you weren't seen etc and then be grabbed with no warning. Admittedly it'd make the game much jumpier but I think there are better ways of doing this.
