heli question on server restarts

If im with my buds in the air in a heli and the server restarts what happens? Do we spawn in the air when we join again does the heli crash? or do we spawn on the ground and the heli spawns on the ground? Does the heli spawn at the last know save location of enter/exit of the vehicle?

Helicopters land safe when the pilot logs out in-mid flight.

I know that if you log out in a car and you log back in you're not in the car anymore, and you will stand "in" the car and it will think you got run over and either kill or break your legs. Don't know about helis though.

You spawn at the place you entered the heli. The heli should be next to the place you disconnected.
