well my pc kind of overheated and it will not turn on anymore, how can i see what hardware is still resurrectable and what is completely ruined

pc turns on but thers a loud ass constant beep and a black mark on the motherboard

First of all, tell how pc "not turn on"? Completely or black screen or pc turn off after 3 seconds?

upd: what kind of beeps? 1 short 3 long or something?

just a constant beep and a weard clicking sound

the screen stays black and it will continue to beep untill i turn the power off

If it's sounds like beeeeep.........beeeeeep......beeeeeep all the time - it's may be a RAM problem. If it sounds like never stopping beeeeeeeeep it's strange and you can try just reinstall all hardware. Also you can unplug video and turn on. then unplug RAM and turn on and hear - beeps is changed or not.

A constant beep would indicate the ram is indeed "kaput".

Do what this guy says, he sounds knowledgeable.

:edit: once the ram is out, turning on the PC with no ram should make it beep 3 short beeps

just took out the ram, the chips are blackish from the bottom and there is an awful smell coming out of the computer, i guess its time to wait on my new parts and i'm limited to my laptop until it comes, lets just hope my video card still works or ill have to order a new one aswell -.- last time i try to overclock my pc myself
