Character Storing Suggestion

This is a more technical suggestion, not an "i want have" one...

I had read that you are storing each character in your database (dead also).. So dayz create a new character each time someone respawns (that happens really often).

If im right, are you keeping these "history" for statistic reasons? and isnt it more efficient to store each unique player once, and update some kind of "alive time" to keep track of the average lifetime, instead of insert?

If im totally wrong, ignore this and keep up the great work ;D
