The future of DayZ

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

There are 2 projects im keeping a eye on, dayZ and the kickstarter of a new console named OUYA.

So it got me thinking today that DayZ would be a good fit as mod or stand alone game (prefering that).

Its a very open platform so you can do al kinds of selling models, F2P or whatever.

Maybe its something you guys can look into.

Cheers.

Would have to covert the game into something like a flash game me thinks. Lol

Well OUYA is Android powered, this mod.. well.. it isn't. And I don't think it ever will be, not without a huge team of developers to recreate the entire ARMA2/3 (depending on timescale) engine just for a platform that (in my opinion) might not even become worthwhile due to the huge lack of graphics power/basic functionality (16gb internal memory and 1GB ram, for a start).

Just to clarify, are you suggesting that DayZ could be a game on OUYA?

Ye!

That would be great right.

And after that a pc release :)

You might be right about the android part. I have no clue how mutch work that might be.

The succes of the ouya is doing well so no reasong to think it will fail atm.

16gb of IM is true BUT you can add a HD (usb port) with say.... A terabyte so no worry's there.

1GB ram, is more then the ps3 and the Xbox combined, so i dont see how that wont work?
