calza27 0 Posted July 30, 2012 Hi all. I've been playing Dayz for about a month now, and just within the last week I've noticed a high amount of input lag develop (upwards of 1 second). My computers specs are as follows.OS: Windows 7 64 bitCPU: Intel core i7 8 core @ 2.2GHzRAM: 4GBGraphics: ATi Radeon HD 6770M 1GBMouse: Razer Lachesis 5600 (currently set to 1800DPi)I've only noticed the problems in the last couple of days, and prior to this I've had no problems apart from the occasional "too high ping" message.Another thing to note is that when I play I'm usually on skype at the same time, but I've never played without skype being on, and closing it doesn't fix the problem. Please help me out, I want to get back to killing zombies without lagging like crazy.Calza
Vault_12 8 Posted July 30, 2012 Have you tried to play on other servers?
calza27 0 Posted July 30, 2012 Yes, I've tried multiple servers, and on servers that I played on before the problem came about but I still get the lag.
Vault_12 8 Posted July 30, 2012 Is DayZ the only game where this problem appears? Or do you have problems with your internet connection often?
calza27 0 Posted July 30, 2012 Nah, DayZ is the only one. My computer is connected via a wired connection.
Vault_12 8 Posted July 30, 2012 How this "lag" looks like? When I play DayZ with friends I always have big lags. For example when my friend shot his weapon and I hear it only after about 2 seconds. I think this lag is normal for DayZ.
calza27 0 Posted July 30, 2012 Nah, this is, press z to go prone and after a 1 second delay I actually go prone. But this is for all actions, including mouse movements, not just stances.
Vault_12 8 Posted July 30, 2012 Maybe try to change some graphic options. I think this has to do with the new update. Maybe you will have to wait for a hotfix.
calza27 0 Posted July 30, 2012 I've set everything to low and shadows off. Still getting the same problem : (
