Bandit Skins and Civi skin update.

Recommended Posts

Whats the point in murdering people Killing zombies if there is no reward?

Here is my proposal.

2, 5, 10, 20 kills 100, 250, 500, and 1,000 kills on zombies unlocks you four different skins. 100 KSK scout (The original bandit skin. Since it doesn't blend in, I think 100 kills should be fair.) 250 Would unlock The British camo that can be found. 500 unlocks a USMC skin which comes with ArmA2 original game. 1,000 Will give you the Ghielle suit.

How would this work? When you get x kills, if you have an open slot in your Inventory it puts the skin into it and players have the options to put it on IF they want to.

Civi Skin Update:

Make the three Civi skins 3 different skins. Skin 1 skin 2 and skin 3. That way if you have the All black skin, everyone else sees it as all black.

Possible addition of more skins just added in like how the ghielle and camo's are now. ? :)

No.. why should you be rewarded for killing people? lol

Fine I want rewards for being a survivor and not killing people. More people I help the more armor I have. I help 20 I get Godmode? Sounds fair.

Not a good idea in my opinion.

If they do not reward non-bandit gameplay, why should they reward kills?

People camping Cherno and Elektro to get the Ghillie. This does not reward actual skill. If anything they should start making it harder to get high kills.

I dont care how it's done, I just know that the Bandit Skin need to make a return.

It makes for a lot of gameplay possibilities. Never change a good thing.

... "reward" for killing players? You are sure you are playing the right game? :)

If there should be a reward related to killing players, it for sure should reward avoid killing players, as this is in every case harder and takes more skill then just to unload a gun in any survivor you see wandering across your sights!

Helping players out with meds could/should unlock a medic skin for example, and getting shot at and escaping (not by disconnecting of course) should get you camouflage items.

But in no way should being a (lame-ass) camper-sniper get you even more clothes to cowardly hide and snipe.

Work for the ghillie suit by risking your precious life achieving it and not for shooting unequipped players near the coast! :)

I stoped playing for about a month or two. I get back on. I get killed every single time. I can no longer play because everyone is trying to kill eachother and I end up having to kill people as they always try to double cross you.

Either way a rewards system for Camo's should be implemented. Killing being one way.

Maybe Zombie kills? 100, 250, 500, and 1,000 kills on zombies unlocks the skins?

New proposal? Yes yes?

I doubt we'll see a working morality/humanity system again in Day Z's current state to be honest with you guys. We know it will return as Rocket himself has confirmed it but I think the game limitations of the ARAM 2 engine prevent it in an acceptable format.

Personally a “quick fix” for the current release could be to have all loot that spawns be completely personal and unique to each user based on an internal “humanity rating”. The higher the humanity rating the more probability of useful things/weapons/tools. The lower the humanity the more likely the chance that tins and less useful items are spawned.

That way you are better rewarded for being a decent player and bandits aren’t as heavily penalized as they can still get their hands on good kit, it just means they have to rely on their bandit skills and kill for them. I can hear many of you who are bothering to read this gasping but to me it cuts out the “middle ground” players who are only killing for fun sometimes or because of opportunity and means you are only likely to encounter proper bandit style players who would play bandit regardless as well as rewarding players for being humane.

The proposed idea is a reward system for a specific behavior in this game defined through it's systems. That is not the intended direction this mod is taking.

Agree with Wiky.

If they did decide to implement anything like this they would need to balance rewards for non-player kills as well.

Maybe the bandit skin will make a come-back as another drop but this idea would reward a specific type of behavior and cause a number of other problems.

Re-read proposal.

I can see you have changed your idea drastically but this is still rewarding a specific type of behavior.

They would still need to balance the rewards with other play styles.

It does. Zombie kills will give you a chance to slowly work your way up through the camo's or you can simply wait and try to find the Camo in a building. Rewarding the sneaking types of players AND the people who love to kill zombies.

The only people who would "benefit" from this would be hackers with god mode. But most of them spawn in whatever they want anyways.

I don't see who would not benefit or be at a disadvantage form this as there are plenty of zombies to go around.

Certainly, or people will just farm zombie kills instead of playing legitimately.

Why do we need to 'gamify' the simulator? Why not just go looking for the camo and ghillie where they spawn, as intended?

They are slightly rare, so keep them that way.

Whoops, totally forgot the axe has infinite ammo. But farming that many zombies would be rather hard don't you think? Who would want to sit and farm 2,000 zombies? Just my 2cents.
