Couple of Questions

Okay so I just started playing about a week ago and I have a couple of questions.

1) I was playing on a US server running along the beach and suddenly i was teleported to a camp site. A message popped up and said welcome to the thunderdome. I'm assuming this was the work of hackers, so i logged out and logged back in to a different server. When I logged back in I was at the airfield.

So question one I guess is; Am I right about the hackers, and does this happen often?

2) I found a car in the middle of the field. Hopped in and it drove. Do cars spawn in working condition, or did I find someone else car and steal it? Also what's this about saving the car? I hit save and was'nt sure what it did. I was shot to death in the car so I don't know what happened.

3) I've found a tent pitched in the wilderness too. It was empty, I hit save also. (still not sure what that does)

4) I think that servers follow real time daytime/nighttime settings, is that correct? I've played on a few US servers at night and they were daytime, also played during the day and it was night in the server. How does that all work? Can certain servers pick what time of day they want to play on, and can you find out what time of day the server is on before choosing it? Last server I played had a bright glow on all horizons, is this an artificial light source?

5) Is there a gamewide chat function? (typing and speaking?) I've logged into a server a few times and i've heard people talking over my speaker, then I log in and nothing. Is that just a glitch?

Anyways, I think that's all the questions I have for now. Thanks for all the help in advance.

1) You're right, that was a hacker. For me that didn't happen up to now, but I'm playing only on european servers, i can't really tell for US servers.

2 + 3) Normally cars won't spawn in a working condition. so there's a good chance you were trolling someone, or he just gave up his car. And the saving thingy is for your loot. You can put it in a car, then save. This will secure your loot will still be in this car after a server restart. Same goes for tents.

4) You're correct there. The admin can set the time zone for his server. Though i don't know what this bright glow should be,

5) There once was, and whilst logging in you can still do this, at least on some servers. It's being glitchy after all. This function was removed due to spamming and flaming, and to make the game a bit more realistic, I think.

2. Not sure about cars spawning in working condition but you probably stole someones car. The car will appear where it last was saved. Example, If you drove from point A to point B and you didn't save it, then the server restarted it would be back at point A.

3. I'm guessing if you don't save it and server restarts it'll disappear.

4. The server can pick the time. Some servers have the time in the title. For example [uTC +2]

5. Some servers used to have it, not sure what happen to it

As to the light. It was very cloudy, maybe foggy even. Is that how it is during that type of weather pattern. I kinda feel like the color was greyed out and colorless. My blood count is at about 10k, so I don't think it had to do with bloodloss.

And the car/tent question. Do I have to log back into the same server that I saved the car/tent on to maintain my gear in the car/tent, or does that not matter?

Yes you have to log in to the same server, unfortunatly. Also the glow could have been JUST the peak of dawn.
